greetings from Morro Rock

The day we visited Morro Bay was foggy and cold so I needed a texture to lay over the white sky in order to create more contrast. I used Kim Klassen's, 'oh my' at multiply / 35%. This gave the image a vintage look so I turned it into a postcard with a transparent overlay from French Kiss and a border.

tulips

For Kim Klassen's "Texture Tuesday" I've used her texture 'oh my' with a transparent overlay from Leslie at French Kiss Studios. I then framed it using feather at 75%.

San Luis Obispo Mission

Texture Tuesday. I added a layer of Kim Klassen's, 'little things' texture to this sepia image of the mission at San Luis Obispo. It needed a darker edge, so I framed it using feather and soft light at 56%.

waiting for sun

My fushias are ready to burst open, if only we'd get some warm sun. The post card overlay is from Leslie's new French ephemera series at French Kiss Studios. I used a layer of Kim Klassen's 'let go' and a layer of Leslie's 'glorious grunge heirloom'.

engineering

One of my latest finds at the flea-market was A Manual of Engineering Drawing  from 1941. I'm having fun using watered down gesso on some of the pages and painting birds.

Happy April

Here's an April calendar for you. Happy spring. After spotting massive beds of coneflowers at the University of Wisconsin, I came home and immediately planted some of my own. I look forward to the intense color they add to the garden.
